This Weblog serves a number of purposes:

• It disseminates (and archives) information to students on the units I teach at Levels 2 and 3. This information may be an item in the news that I come across and thoughts that I have about it which are relevant to any one of those units (the categories I use for each post correspond to those units). It may be links to information which I don’t want you to miss. It may, at times, be a rant about an issue which is particularly close to my heart!
• It also provides more ‘static’ information about the programme and suggestions about how to develop your skills. This is particularly true for the pages about personal development planning at Level 2. Here the expectation is that you create your own blog as a means of recording and archiving that process.
• However, this blog is also about exploring the publishing and networking powers of new communications technologies which are effecting the ways in which we all live, study, work and have fun.

Above all, it is a forum on which you can have your say by commenting on any posts which appear. So, please, read … and write!
